Internal Displace People (IDP)

Due to ISAF bombardments and fighting with Taliban insurgence in southern province of Helmand over 200 families left their homes, moved to Kabul where they think that will receive assistance from government or NGOs. As the Afghan government can not afford to help itself charity organizations are the only source which provide humanitarian aids to the poor and needy people.
Head of Bayat Foundation Engineer Ehsanullah Bayat distributes food stuff and winter clothes to 200 internally displaced families in Kabul city also Bayat Foundation Mobile Clinic provides health care service to the displaced people in Bagh-e- Daud and Afshar camp. Bayat Foundation is the only organ that provides relief to needy families at the capital and provinces which donated at more then 10 provinces to thousands of needy poor families in harsh winter of this year. Kabul,I am Back

ISAF officer Maj. Boris Barschow donates text materials and stationeries to the students of Ustad Khalilullah Khalili. The donation is gained from the income of a book selling (Kabul, I am back) written in German and most other materials collected from the friends of him and other German soldiers' friends in Germany. This donation sent from Germany and distribute in coordination with French-ISAF soldiers (French helped in taking security around the school). Feb 16

Cock Fighting

Cock fighting which called "Murgh Jangi" in Afghanistan is an entertainment among the Afghan people and it is not a new game or sport, cock fighting was widespread like other bird fighting and it has ancient history. Cockfighting is as popular as Buzkashi since long time ago in Afghanistan normally such kind of entertainments takes place in parks or public places.
Although some religious people says it is sin and it is unlawful in Islam fighting of dogs, birds or any other animal/birds.
As for the weather get colder chicken owners which is called "Murgh Baaz" or "Chicken fighter" hold various tournaments in the capital city of Kabul, sometimes they hold big tournaments with gathering of all the provinces' cock fighters, and it is a big chance for the gamblers to earn a large amount of revenue.
The chicken owners make sharpen the natural heel of cockspurs few hours before the game and the birds fight for 10-20 minutes each rounds and they fight for 4-6 rounds with a gap of 5 minutes for fresh up.
In many other areas around the world, cockfighting is still practice and it is viewed as national sport.


People gathered in a cockpit where frequently every Fridays or national holiday time cock fighters compete with each other.
